you reach through the computer and, uh, poke them. Preferably in the eye or something.

Or else they get a message saying you poked them.

It means you're annoying and don't poke. At least to me it means that.

It means that someone is afraid of having a true social relationship with someones facebook-friend - so therefore someone is "poking" the ppl someone used to know, as a way to say: "Hi, I haven't forgotten you. We're still friends, but the days we were physical together as friends are gone. So God thanks for Facebook!".

    Love,
    -wolf-

it means you're either too shy, too lazy, or not really into having a real conversation with a person....it's lame, actually facebook in it's entirety blows.....yet i keep going back:rolleyes:

I've been "poked" 3 times in the last week.
It just means "Hey" "Hi" "Giggle" "anythingthing you like".
To me it is just a friendly "poke" in my side for people to say "Hi".
I have 75 friends but only get "poked" by 3, it must be their thing.
