The Ice bong

Ok well im going to my local headshop a little bit later and i was wondering if i should buy this mold for like an ice bong.... Basically you just pour the water in, freeze it, then take of the plastic mold and can hit the bong lol.. im not sure how well it works but it sounds hella cool... It comes with a clear glass bowl for like 15 dollars and i think i might buy it just for a novelty thing

 

that sounds mad cool, are your parents chill with weed cuz it might take a little while to freeze

But it will leave your hands cold as hell, and drip water everywhere... dirty.... dirty bong water... everywhere!

 

you'd only get one round out of it, so the bong water wouldn't me that dirty. then leave it in the sink to melt.
seems like a lot of extra work to me.

 

Theres videos floating around youtube of frozen pint glasses, and blwoing smoke in them and drinking them, it looks chill as fuck.

 

sounds like a fail.. one your hands are gonna be cold as fuck.. plus water is gonna get everywhere

 

hmmm, possibly smoke in a cold climate wearing gloves? but yeah a novelty thing indeed.

 

I saw a bowl on gorilla glass that has two layers of glass with water in between them so you can freeze it. Like those mugs y'know whadda I mean?

 

^^^ yea.. and you know what happens to those mugs.. they crack because water expands when frozen.. same would happen to the bong

 

They put less water in it so it has room to expand...

Also i did pick it up and il try it tonight outside so well se if its good

 

i have some of those mugs theyre great and they dont crack if you dont put too much water in them

no has too high of an alcohol content to freeze in a normal freezer

 

So i just tried it out and its pretty cool... Only took a couple hours to freeze and the mold was pretty easy to remove... Its not carbed or anything, its a pull out bowl but its really freaking cold on the lips... Gives godly hits tho, its like an icecatcher x10

guh? the BONG ITSELF is made of ice. hence it being from a mold...

 

is it shaped like a snowman? because my friend used to have one like that lol.

Last year we just left it outside all winter long and it only melted once. The mold broke when we tried to customize it though lol.

 

those bongs/pipes with liquid in them for freezing don't have water, they have glycerin in them.

if there was a pipe or bong with water in it, even if there was extra room, it would still shatter the piece. when the water starts to freeze it won't just move out of the way and fill up the empty space. it will freeze in place and push outward on the glass and break it

ive seen the ice mold bongs before, only issue is they don't last that much when you handle them. i'd suggest using one in a cold area and put a towel over your hands before handling the bong, it will last a bit longer
