Ok... So my dealer hooked me up with 1/4 oz. of pretty good middies and there were mabey 8-10 seeds in the bag. They all look pretty good (judging from what I've seen in pictures ect.) so I figured it would be a cool to try and grow these suckers when April-May rolls around. I'd be set with with decent bud for a while, plus I could even make a little cash if I want...but watev... So I've done alotta reasearch and this is what I think I'm gonna do. 1. Sprout the seed and grow 3 seedlings, keeping them indoors until they are mabey 3-4 inches tall. 2. Mix a bag or 2 of high quality potting soil into the earth where I will latter transplant the seedlings. 3. Transplant the seedlings, putting up some chicken wire within a 5 foot radius of the plants, watering them once every 1-2 days or so. 4. Let em grow and wait till harvest. I figured that this would be pretty effective, leaving little room for error (procedure-wise) Questions: 1. Whats the most effective way of sprouting and starting seedlings? 2. Im basicly isolated to growing in the woods, so would the best area to grow be in a smal clearing or up against a tree or what? 3. How do I cure my bud once harvest time comes around? Thanks for reading, all advice much apreciated!
I dont know a helluvalot about growing, but usually people sprout their seeds by putting them between damp paper towels, and putting that in a dark place for a few days or until it starts to sprout. Im pretty sure youll want to grow in a clearing, not under a tree, so they get more sunlight. Also during the process (i dont know if you planned on this and didnt say it, or was just gonna plant them and wait) you want to trim the leaves and shit to make the buds stronger. Look up how to do this i dont know exactly. One part of curing them i know is to put them in garbage bags and hang them upside down to let all the resin and shit go to the buds. Im pretty sure that works.
actually, that isnt very good information. 1) the best germination i personally use it to soak the seeds in room-temperature water for 2-3 hours before planting them 2) you want as much sun as you can get. if its under a tree, it may not even get enough light to grow normally. 3) DO NOT trim leaves willy-nilly while growing. only remove leaves if they are either more than 50% dead or are completely in the way of a budcluster. leaves collect plant-growing light. you want as many as possible. 4) hanging to dry and curing are 2 sepertae processes. do not use garbage bags when hanging, as they will block airflow and cause mold. also, hanging upside down does not cause resin to flow down. it is common because it is a) the easiest way to hang and b) allows slightly faster drying/airflow. 5) curing consists of placing properly dried bud into glass jars, allowing them to store for a few weeks at minimum, destroying the chlorofylls and sugars in the process (making smoother smoke)
