Survival off the land is a very important skill to know. It is still commercialized survival so it does not do much for me. How much danger is he really in? I guarantee a copter can swoop in and save him at a moments notice in case of true danger. Who knows, I could be wrong. I have watched it over at a friends a few times cause I ain't got no cable. I know, ain't, ain't a word.
it's not about how much danger he is actually in, it is about his ability to survive in a hostile environment. sure you could argue that he's not in any real peril, but on the other hand, if he was, he'd be a lot better off than most people.
well dear, you know what to do then!! you and the kids can be the camera crew...head out to the mountains, and get the show on the road
which dude?! Bear or Les?? honestly, neither would surprise me but I'm more leaning towards Les doing something like that
He's special... and seems like the wild type... brave too... but... umm... dunno... if he's my type...
Yeah, it turned out Bear was sometimes spending the night in a hotel. General perception is that Les is tougher. I don't see how it matters, personally - we, after all, are sitting our asses on the fucking couch watching TV - but there it is.
I learned a lot of that stuff at SeaTac in the 80s. Bear is all about grandstanding and he has a crew. Les goes out alone with his own cameras.
Bear annoys the shit out of me...for some reason I cannot stand watching him or hearing his voice...He tries way to hard.. Hell, I've stuck my head up a zebra's ass and started chowing down, and I don't even have a show.. Isn't his real name like Henry or Frank or somethng...Wait, it's Edward I just wikied it...
personally, both shows annoy me. but after watching episode after episode of les STARVING for days on end, none of his attempts at getting food working, i just end up hungry and annoyed.
i like les because he's alittle more realistic. That's the way it is in a survival situation. Most days you go hungry. peace
