i've been thinking alot recently, and one of the things i've thought about was the fact that so many people nowadays can complain or be apathetic and in other words, not contribute to anything.

but just imagine, if everyone cared about each other and humans as a whole, and worked their best to contribute

imagine what a beautiful place Earth could be and what we could accomplish as a race

    =) just a little thought
    feel free to discuss

your right man. we should not have patriotism, we should have pride in our race. we should not work for the good of the country rather for the good of humanity. if you have love on your side you can accomplish anything

you mean communism?? yeah sure sounds like a nice idea doesn't it, then again, government is the root of all evil. just think before you let your mind wander.

Not communism.. think you're referring to a form of anarchism, but just cause you give people the freedom to do what they want doesn't mean they'll do what YOU want.

Solution: MDMA in the water supply :D

lol, no not communism or anarchy
both are incompatible with human nature, the ideals are beautiful in their own way but they just couldn't work

im talking about going further than nationalism or the such and being proud of being human; its hard for me to put into words but the best analogy i can think of is the beauty that a patriot sees in his/her country, and how it motivates him/her to do what they believe can further their country...

i just think that it would be beautiful if most if not all people found that same beauty in humanity, and find the will to work toward the well being of each other
i only say this because i see so much potential in humanity which isn't reached due to apathy or division through color, nationality, religion, etc.

i wasn't thinking anything external by far, i was just hoping that someday people can find the will to help people, because they're people

its just a train of thought from an idealist =)

and thanks tculi, its great to have you on HF too

let me just throw out there that government is not the root of all evil. money is what corrupts the government and is ultimately what affects every decision they make. in capitalism profit > people

    ill agree with that tculi

you can even see that in the american economy now
i find it embarassing that the government is willing to give TWO car companies an enourmous payload in the billions rather than to any humanitarian needs

IF government would be the root of all evil it's now a necessary evil since there are too many people to live and (unintentionally) trash the earth if they wouldn't be governed.
