i swap books so much, i have no idea how many i have. im reading 3 books right now. one ive read a billion times already..
I was going to say same as you boog, but for some odd reason I have about 80 books now and have read 50.
there are 22 books on my bookshelf here. but some of them are borrowed from my mom. plus i have several books back at my parents' house, and a few here in my attic. i'm not currently reading any of them at the moment. and i never try to read more than one book at a time. i'm like that with a lot of things. if i were to start more than one of pretty much anything, i would just stick to the one that i like the most while ignoring all others anyway.
I own about 300 books. It's hard to say how many I've read cover to cover. Probably about 50-60. Most books I read without finishing.
Yeah, I currently have about 3 books on the go.. I've been reading lord of the rings for a good week now because I go and read other stuff.
There are plenty of books in my house. Not all belong to me, some belong to my parents. I've no idea how many I have... I'm also reading some borrowed ones so it's hard to tell.
me and my hubby probably collectively own about 300 books. most of them are in boxes at the minute as we have no storage. ive read most of them, except some of his rubbishy ones
I have hundreds of books.. I've read most of them, I think. I love books, and I'm so attached to them too. At the moment, we haven't got enough bookshelves for all my books which makes me sad.
As a poor student I just get most of the books I read from the library. Have somewhere around 80 books I think, and 1/3 is study books..
I like buying books but I usually sell 'em after I read 'em so I got like 10 or something right now..
I have something like 25-30 from my spiritual delving.. Starting out with "awakening the buddha within" worked my way through "14 lessons in yogi philosophy" and "autobiography of a Yogi" to "journey to Ixtlan" and the Toltec knowledge... AFter reading all of them I see no need to delve any further right now.. Im sure theyll be good reads later on, although "autobiography of a Yogi" Ive owned 4-5 different copies cause I always end up giving it away, and ive read it 5-6 times now. But I dont really like reading fiction or anything, so I dont know what to read anymore
i'm slowly weeding through my books. i'm reading them all and throwing away the ones that i don't want to read anymore and that are water destroyed, etc.
We've got about 100 books. However that number is not very revealing. I go to the library alot because I don't feel I need to own most books. Also we trade them in to a used book store for trade credit. We give away alot of them too, esp the ones that were fun and adventurous or inspiring...its fun to share stories. The books we have left are ones that we want to keep. Mostly Harry Potter, Tom Robbins novels, Carlos Castenada collection, Lor of the Rings, Herman Hesse stuff...and lots and lots of metaphysical, mystical, fantasy, ethereal stuff. I just finished one of the three I am reading last night.
I need to sell some of the least interesting as well. Most books I buy for fun are fantasy I guess, but I've got a few somehow that I just don't dig at all. How did that Shannara shit get so famous for instance?
i have no idea. we had a year long project in the 6th grade, we were supposed to read several thousand pages and do a book report on whatever books we'd read. i was lazy, grabbed my brother's "sword of shanara" book and did it on that in a week. it was pretty boring. i think i got most of my inspiration from the dust cover.
