That's what Arianna's teacher said when we got to school today. Arianna was a bit scared but still did her morning routine. Then the teacher took us out in the hall to tell Arianna that her pic was voted on to go to the county fair next September. She is so excited I am so proud of her. She has her life down pat. She is going to be a vet and an artist. Thats been the plan since she popped out and now she's really stoaked to have a piece displayed
Thanks mamaKC! I was really proud. I called her daddy right away. He said "what is this call John day" I said "alright smartass, I won't tell ya" LOL!! We play rough with one another. In the end he was very excited
kai's school is submitting to a local contest to have their line drawings (with the theme of transportation or life in fort collins) sandblasted into new pavement stones.
They had to draw a city. Hers had many different size buildings and at the top of one was 4 people in an arch holding hands. On top of another was a rainbow too. There were even smaller things in the backgroud to show distance. Thats so cool KC. Thats how it is around here as well. ABES works with NC School of the Arts and the artistic community and have done so many projects all through town. It is cool to see your kids excel. I'll be putting her in gymnastics soon....perhaps she might get as good as yours one day
dude, kai's a freak. we're buying her a camera for christmas. she's been sneaking pictures on the family camera and they're just plain awesome. she's more a painter than a drawer, though. i was thinking i could get her some paints and an easel. she had an excellent walnut drawing desk, but it's just at the wrong angle, and frankly, her paints and brushes need to be updated. they're a bit too young for her, and she's used to using higher quality supplies at school. certainly she needs some watercolor paper and decent pencils for her sketches.
Too funny. I gave Arianna one of my old digital cameras and we looked at her pics last night. We were quite impressed by her angles and such. Mine doesn't do the painting so much. But she is all about makin books and drawing. Did you finish your Christmas shopping yet?
haven't even started. i know everything i'm getting kai: lap harp, easel, camera, paints, brushes, etc. joey will likely get a percussion set, maybe a steel drum kit. and likely littlest petshop or some junk like that. she's still into it.
Arianna is still all about petshop animals. She loves those things. What she really wants for Christmas is "Biscuit" She says she doesn't care if its the only present she gets from everyone. She says that she dreams about it. blah blah blah. Have you seen it?
yes the life like dog. horrible in what way? the advertising that makes every kid want one? and Yes, I am proud of her achievement Tis very sweet
She's six. I picked her up from school and she is so happy still. She said she is so so so so so proud of herself.
Aw, I remember when I got one of my drawings displayed at our museum, I felt famous. Congratulations to Arianna!
