I would start with the original prescribing doctor. See if you can talk to him or her on the phone and explain the situation. Now, was the script due to run out when you did, or did you have to take more than what they prescribed? If you could talk to the original doc, that'd be a good starting place. If they decline, just find out when you can get them filled, and walk out. Then, go to your regular doctor and explain the situation.. with your injuiries, being a carjack victim, they should be somewhat sympathetic and you should have a good chance at getting another bottle. Just explain that you're having trouble sleeping, opening your mouth to eat since it hurts so much. Then, there's always the "You can't just leave me in this agonozing condition!" What kind of doctors are you?! To me, I don't think you'll have much trouble if enough time has gone by. They're always suspicious if you come in way too soon with an empty bottle. Much luck with it! I'm about to go in for my back pain again when I can afford it and pull every string I can for a script for at least norcos. I'd prefer percocet... but if they don't seem to want to prescribe me what I want after I give them the rundown of what I tried: pillows behind the seat, shifting, exercise, Naproxen, Ibuprofen 800, and I even tried Norco and Percocet and that what makes my work tolerable. (I have spinal degeneration, L5 and S1." Then, I'll just ask... then what am I supposed to do? I came here for help and you're telling me to do what I've been doing that's not working? Throw it on them and see what they do. Sometimes you have to be tactful but persistent and somewhat assertive.

I hope it works for you since you're hurting. Let us know!

When I got my script for 24 7.5 vics for my wisdom teeth, it was only 93 cents with insurance.

When you go to the hospital, and you get a script, they tell you to follow-up with a primary care physician anyways. So you shouldn't have a problem going to your normal doctor and explaining what happened, and getting a new script.

If you go back to the hospital, they won't give you shit most likely.
