the best make-shift screen in the world.

i've seen a few threads about using several different household items for screens when you don't have one, and... i thought i'd share mine, i expect this thread to die quickly, it's pretty bland.


just take a peice of wiring, (almost all houses have some SOMEWHERE, check the garage), about 1.5 or 2 feet long,

ball the wiring up loosely, but not too loose, or too tight.

take a hammer to the ball to flatten it out.

compare it to your bowl.

trim edges accordingly.


(OPTIONAL: wrap the wiring around a dime or something and then trim the edges for a more perfect screen)

this has saved me countless times.


just be sure the wiring isn't copper or alluminium or W/e the fuck is bad for you, and make sure it is thick enough gauge so it doesn't heat to red very quickly, i just hold a lighter underneath it for 10 seconds to check.

well i had never seen this method before, everything i have found involved stealing something from a faucet, alluminum, or a window. And it isn't meant for the times when you can just run out and buy a screen, of course the screen will be better.

Why not just prepare ahead??

screens here are like 5 for 50 pence... you can easily buy 25 and when you begin running out get more.

yea, that's the best plan, and what i usually do. This is for when you do run out... it's not like i buy one screen at a time like once every few months...

 

alot of house hold wiring is copper, dont smoke copper.

Pebble works well.

 

aluminum can, trimmed to fit.. poke holes in it with a tack or a pin..

 

X2... i always use pebbles. they are free and there are vast amounts of them

there are more times than the stars in the universe whenever
I don't have a screen and looking to make one quick.

But.....after all these times being baked and trying to make a screen....I FAILED!
so now I smoke without one, and I collect the tar from my piece after 10-15 times and I smoke it like hash!!
good times!!

We made like 100 screens lol, we made sure they werent the kind that were bad for you though.

 

stripping a twist tie and winding it up in every direction and pressing it flat works well as a screen too
