Hey I've been saving up my money for a while (it's hard for me, you know what I mean) And I almost have enough money for a micro synth. I've been getting into electronic music lately and a MIDI synth is practical for musicians anyway. And you can use it in a lot of styles of music by nature. (that electro metal bridge is so sick ... usually)

But I've been getting into like Pete Seeger stuff in the last couple of weeks, and I finally understand why the Byrds went countryish. Cause I think it would be sick to play the banjo! I mean, it'd be a bit of work, but it seems like a natural progression (drum+guitar=banjo?) for me. Yea... folk, country, and some of the best musicians I know are bluegrass players.

But I can only get one, and they both are really sick, I mean the keyboard I have is a kid one from the eighties and my guitar, well I love my guitar and it's a lonely string instrument. But what do you think? Or am I just a bit infatuated with both ideas?

you need a electric guitar and synth and you can play any instrument you want.
I have a rolands gr1 guitar synth.. I can make my electric guitar sound like a banjo.

No its not the same as playing a banjo, ?but the synth is tuned with a midi pickup and tunes each string individualy. It tunes the guitar as a banjo.. Takes some getting used to if you have ever played a banjo. I have I love them alot. But I dont own one..
With the gr1 you could convert it to your cheapo keyboard and blow you mind man too...
