okay so basically i've been using LSD in large and small doses, for a long time and have had my fair share of bad trips and good trips. what id like to know is what are so peoples triggers for having a bad trip...

one thing that happened to me once in an acid trip was very strange, i was tripping strong for probably 5 or 6 hours and it was all good, everything was going perfectly. i can remember feeling around my mouth with my tongue and kind of running my tongue along the tops of my teeth. i instantly got the feeling that my teeth where not where they were supposed to be, i couldnt locate there position in my mouth and i began to panic. my teeth felt much like disfigured rocks and lumps in my mouth and honestly i couldnt tell if they where on the top, bottom, sides or outside my mouth and i really bugged out,the room that i was in was quite dark which is the usual setting i like when im taking LSD and i franticly ran around turning on lights. i just had a sense of impending doom that strangly reminded me of being a child and getting too afraid to walk past the dark scary hallway or room in a house.

this feeling really flipped me out and i had the impression my head was closing in on itself and kind of folding over, it would be impossible to explain but it was really quite strange.

so im interested to know, what are some of the triggers that sent you other psychedelic adventurers into a state of temporary insanity??

LOL. One of my recent trips i was chewing on a soft chewy lollipop thing and suddenly i bit down on something crunchy and thought wtf?
I pulled it out and half of my tooth had broken off and was stuck in the lolly.

This was a tooth that had been dead for a while and was supposed to get it cut out but haven't had the money. But yeah that freaked me out. Not a bad trip just sort of related to your story.

Back to the topic, I've never had a bad trip, not sure exactly what one is. i mean there are bad parts of a trip where you get scared or something but, then ten seconds later you might be on the ground laughing hysterically at something completely unrelated.

I have once on a really high dose got all fevery and then really cold repeatedly and then threw up a few times but that passed and then i felt amazing so i wouldn't really call that a bad trip either.

i've found i even enjoy my bad trips, like you both have said its usually only a small portion of the trip and within the next ten minutes your laughing at a tree in your backyard again.

Every bad trip is triggered by the exact same thing; a sudden confrontation with a particular aspect of reality that makes you uneasy. Usually death, solitude, betrayal, etc.

If you are comfortable with these things on a deep level you won't be able to have a bad trip. Explore your feeling about death. Dive deep into your anxiety and terror . . . it is as much a part of you as the back of your hand, should you not know it as well?

lol ad, that reminds me.... whenever i eat while i am tripping it feels like all my teeth have fallen out and i am chewing them in my mouth.

then after i finish the food in my mouth i double check to see if my teeth are still there, and well they are :D

after that i am usually like f this i need to stop eating! haha.
