No I won't yell but wax is bad because it holds your hair in place and doesn't allow it to dread and lock up. Take the wax and make a candle out of it. Use salt water to tighten your locks.

I used wax when I first backcombed em just so they wouldnt slip out (my hair is really fine and gets oily). but after that, I dont use any wax except maybe on the tips.

tea tree oil gets rid of dandruff when you cant wash your head

That bus is so beautiful man, as for the dreads just keep rolling and playing with them they will start dreading at the top soon, its one of those things that take some time.

I also have locks and am frequently at the Knotty Locks forums posting under conversational mime. Hope everything works out for you. Remember, patience is a virtue. Dreadlocks take time. If ya keep that in mind they will come along nicely.

What I do with my dreads is I take one (at the base/root) in between my pointer and middle finger (like a scissor-shape). Then I rotate the dread in the same position for maybe 30-seconds or so. After, you can definitely tell that your roots are knotted. Try it out.
