my poor little kai catches EVERYTHING

ever since she was little, she gets sick so easily, man. the girl is pretty enthusiastic with her fevers, coughs, throat infections. when she was little she kept getting ear infections. i mean, what the hell? she's such a fit little girl! active, happy, outgoing, sporty.

she got sick again last night. he throat is all swollen and sore. i'm letting her sleep before i take her to the doctor, AGAIN, just to make sure it's not bacterial or whatnot. man. it's kinda ridiculous.

 

I was the same way when I was a kid, I had EVERYTHING (except chicken pox, which I never got) I grew out of it thankgod.

 

god, i hope so. it's probalby because she plays so much with other little kids and i can't imagine they can keep her gym pristinely clean. working out as hard as she does in gymnastics probably makes her more susceptible. she looked kinda "lazy" last night during her workout. i say lazy like that because she's never lazy in gym. but she was definitely half-hearted about it all.

then last night she tells me her throat hurts when she swallows. when her alarm went off to get her up for school, she's practically crying and her throat looks like hell and she has a fever. so i gave her some tylenol and water and cuddled with her until she went back to sleep. poor little thing.

 

she catches everything in gym? She's just good at sport! Ba dum dum tiiish!!


Hope she gets better soon.

 

this winter has been especially bad. i think it's also because she plays with the little ones across the street. i've never seen so much snot in my life.

Arianna was like that until we moved here to NC....even her allergies went away.

 

Definitely the interaction with the other girls/kids..my youngest daughter was also in gymnastics for a few years. She loved/loves it..now, that she is in middle school, it really helped her since she is cheerleading. I have always thought it to be very important to have my daughters do something, have a hobby/activity..I never pushed them either way..my only stipulation is that they had to do something and I didn't care what it was. But yeah, she got sick a lot in gymnastics for whatever reason.

 

yeah, kai really loves gymnastics, so seeing her be so lackadaisical about practice last night was kinda off. i should tuned in, but really, i figured she was just tired.
