Hey all I have my dead grandfathers black suit with white pinstripes, but everyone wears those. I need a very unique suit for suit type occasions. A lime green, or bright orange. Ive looked at shops in toronto and found some interesting ones but none in my size. I think the best route is to get one custom made, but Im not a millionaire. Any suggestions?

estate sales would be your best bet. I have a friend who got three polyester leisure suits from the early 70's, in three different colors, like puke green, pumpkin orange, and the most awful shade of red-brown you can imagine. Just get a size too big and have it altered to fit at any alterations shop.

Sometimes you can find some funky suits in goodwill and some other thrift shops.

Our local thrift store brings out all the "ugly" suits at Halloween...like the powder blue and yellow tuxes...
Or you could make friends with someone who sews...patterns can be made by taking apart the boring suits...
