Philip wants to dry mushrooms. Philip has a plan, he is placing the mushrooms right by an open window. The weather where Philip is is cold (64 degrees) and he is closing the blinds so that the air circulates so it has contact with the mushrooms. He is allowing sunlight hit it (not directly) throughout the next day. He lives in Florida where the high will be 80 degrees. Philip is planning to leave these fresh mushrooms where they are from 3am to 6pm the same day, he is wondering if they are going to be dried by then? He is also wondering if this is the best method to dry them without destroying the psilocybin in them (although they are already discolored in random places (dark and white in random places)) and without purchasing anything?

Philip owns a Vacuum Freezer Bags and was wondering if he could dry them by removing all air and let it sit in a dark place (not putting it in the freezer because he knows that there is still water in it).

He really wants to have them ready by tonight.

You can eat them wet. No need to worry about it. But putting them in a drawer (no bag just loose), is probably a better method, though it will take longer.
