my dreadlings are going wild!!!! they want to eat each other. i rip them apart several times a day. my hair has shrunk a lot and they are all knotted in one big clump at the ends. i put up a few new pics in my 2 month post but they don't show much of what is going on. i'm guessing this is all a good thing. some are thicker some are thinner so they are all locking up at their own speed. i know i just need to clam the f down but just need to hear from some fellow dreadies that it's all good. in the last few weeks i have learned to are of patience. man i thought i had good patience with three little ones running around. thanks!
I know what you mean! Mine are at the 2.5 month phase and I look like a freaky alien plant on crack! Im constantly ripping em at the roots to keep em seperated. Its difficult every morning to make myself look presentable for work cuz my entire head is completely nappy, frizzy, and I have short hair so theres not a lot I can do style-wise!!!! Yikes! But...on the positive side they do get tighter and tighter every day and with each passing week I see significant changes....so....I keep telling myself, 2.5 months from now they will look a lot better and so on and so on. Just think....by next summer we'll have beautiful noticeable dreadlocks to fantastiaclly shake around at all the festivals [if your into that!] =]
Yeah at first you might think its a bit beat when they have big clumps at the bottom, but I think its cool, cause although it might not be the best looking now, once your hairs a few feet long it will look cool with crazy shit at the bottom.
thanks guys! i feel better. mandyland you described it to a tee. the other morning i looked like i walked out of a 80's big hair band album!!! i've only been to one festival in wisconsin. it was small but fun. i would like to check out some out here though.
haha...yeah its usually at its worst in the morning! There are so many Oregon festivals that Ive been wanting to go too...you have a lot of fun ones up there! I wanna try to make it to the faerie festival. Theres live music, camping, and everyone dresses up like fairies! Woohoo!
