Shopping at a Headshop

Going into town tommorow, and whilst I'm there I was hoping to go into the Headshop and buy a Bowl. I'm 15 (although I apparently look 17ish), and if they ask any questions I was gonna say it's just a Christmas present for my Dad. I know buying smoking equipment is illegal for under 18s but I figured it might be tolerable since I'm not actually buying any kind of drug, "just a Christmas present for a familly member".
Anyone with experience in this field who could advise me?

just get an 18 year old to buy it for you. i gurantee u they wont sell u shit. all the head shops around here u can go into and browse around no matter what age you are but u have to be 18 or older to but it with no exceptions ever. but u are in england maybe there less strict there?

 

I thought that would be the case. Oh well I'm gonna give it a shot just in case. Even had a cunning plan about wearing an '18 Today' badge and saying I don't have any ID yet. Do you reckon that would improve my chances or make me look suspicious?

Oh and St Stephen (great song btw) just read your comment. Yeah I would do that only I'm sadly not going with any friends aged 18 or over. Maybe next time if I go with my big stoner pal...

 

if u really dont know any 18 year olds or older at all to do this for u, your next best bet might be to just hang outside of the store and ask others going in to get u a pipe.. but this can backfire in many ways

Yeah, next time I go I'll try and go with some of my older friends. I doubt many strangers would want to risk themselves helping me out like that, and they may alarm the authorities or some crazy shit like that.

 

^many many random adults have purchased cigs for me, as long as i let them keep the change of course ive never tried this at a head shop just outside gas stations and such but just as long as you are cool i imagine somebody well help u out eventually. ny ways best of luck

It depends where you live...I don't know how strict they are in England, but I have been buying shit for myself at headshops since I was 16 and back then I definitely didn't look 18.

 

im friends with the people and their son and daughter that own the headshop near me and id like to consider myself a good customer but its a bit different than going into a place iv never been, and i would never ask an over 18 outside the place...thats a sure fire way to lose the respect of the people working in there and the police would happily use it as a reason to target headshops. I'd wait till someone you know is around that can buy it for you

 

find someone to get that for you. The people working at the headshop will deny your ass

 

The head shop in my town seems fine. But then again the lady who runs it is a crack head, and I am over 18 I do look really young though. It depends on who runs it. I would have someone who is 18 just to make sure

meh, depends on who you go to. i was buying pipes and bongs at 16.

its about confidence. its sounds fucked up but if you can read into NLP you can convince him youre 18 without actually saying your age.

in all honestly its probably gonna take you a few years to get a handle on nlp

 

also dont make any pot references and call bongs waterpipes and bowls pipes/spoons remember everything in a head shop is for tobacco use only.

 

yeah me and my friends buy from this one place quite frequently...
usually its this indian guy who always says stuff like ohhh back again? and then laughs, or is like you do not look 18! then laughs his head off, then sells to us lol

sometimes i go to the gas station by my house, it's owned by an indian guy like that and he always sells me blunt wraps and papers haha
