    1. What does it mean when it seems like my ear drums keep beating randomly. At first I thought my head was clogged with mucus or something and I could hear my hearbeat (i dunno don't ask) but it's not synched. It's just randomly i keep feeling little bump like sensations in there. what the fuck?

    2. How come when I dig in my ear with a q-tip sometimes I have to cough and my eyes water?

Could be tinnitus. My ear hummed loudly for two and a half days. I thought it would never stop.
About the coughing... well, you're probably stimulating some membranes in there or something which means you're probably reaching too far in. I do it all the time. :p

it's not like a ringing or humming though, it's like thumping, but only like..sometimes right after i move my head.
it's cool, i probably just have a brain tumor or something.

Congratulations you are one of the 4% or so of the population that has an 'Ear Cough Reflex'!!! Tickle the right spot and you shall cough! It's to do with deviation of the auricular nerve or something...not sure but go on and look it up!

    From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus:

Some people experience a sound that beats in time with the pulse (pulsatile tinnitus). Pulsatile tinnitus is usually objective in nature, resulting from altered blood flow or increased blood turbulence near the ear (such as from atherosclerosis or venous hum), but it can also arise as a subjective phenomenon from an increased awareness of blood flow in the ear. Rarely, pulsatile tinnitus may be a symptom of potentially life-threatening conditions such as carotid artery aneurysm or carotid artery dissection.

    I think you're fine.

The cough reflex could be from digging too deeply in your ear and irritating a Eustachian tube. I runs down the neck and parallels the esophagus. You could also be damaging your eardrum, causing the thumping. Keep the qtips out of there.
