Greetings. I've built this grow cabinet a few years back.

The hydro set-up was enough for one big plant or to start seedlings.

Thought I'd share it with you guys here.

    Comments or questions welcomed.

*I'm not sure if this is in the right place or not*

Very nice bro, I have 3 questions for you though. How much money did that cost to make? How much yield can you get out of that? And could you give me a diagram?

The set up cost about 550 US dollars.

It was a 400 HPS light.

I could harvest one small plant, trimmed and cut to fit in the cabinet. So actually yields would vary on type and breed.

I can send you a lose diagram. I just shot from the hip putting this together in about 3 days.

grow rooms are really cheap to make. most of the cost is the bulb, ballast, and filters.

general costs: 300-800 depending on size, quality, filtration, and light quality.

Did you make the cabinet yourself (like the frame)?

I don't know if this would work. Probably not, I'm guessing it would throw the temperature off. But what if you put in like, separate shelves, that way, you could grow more than one plant at a time. Heck, you could even take breeds that are more tolerant to higher heat, and put those at the top, and leave the sensitive ones at the bottom.

it would really affect the distribution of light if you put up shelves, i'm thinking.

I was thinking though, you could hang a smaller light from the bottom of each shelf, and then one from the top. It's hard to explain. Like, say there were 3 shelves. At the top of the cabinet, you hung a light. Then, below the light, there was a shelf with a plant on it. Then, you like secure a light to the bottom of that shelf so it hangs from it and gives light to the next plant, and so on...

I'll elaborate more if you don't understand what I mean.

firstly, i bought and assembled the cabinet...so i was restricted to predetermined dimensions. Building your own would allow more freedom to do more...in your case build shelves.

secondly, unless you were using shelfs simply to start seedings or to grow a mother plant etc, it would have to be a huge cabinet both in height and width to grow mature plants on multiple levels.

Yeah. I was thinking about that. I thought that you built the cabinet yourself. Didn't realize it was a kit.

And yeah, it would take up quite a bit of space. But can't you trim the plants a little bit? It wouldn't be a lot, but maybe enough to make it possible to grow in a cabinet without it taking up a ridiculous amount of room.

Very nice, set up like 1 in each room of the house and you're stylin, some should be clone boxes, some veg and some flower. That would work nicely, no?
