homemade dreads , aren't they the best ? ... here are my dreads, ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGXyXUdMhkg ) made mostly by me, my girlfriend, and my mom. started them the 22nd , they were finished the 23rd. i wont use wax i palmroll i try crocheting them as clean as possible. i got knotty boy dread BAR what is the best thing to do with wispy ends that still arent locked or loose?
Its kinda pointless to even worry about your ends for at least a few months. No matter how u tuck em up, weave em in.. whatever, they'll pop out. Same for the crocheting. Its kinda a waste of time and will damage you hair.
i also got an aloe plant, what do you suggest me to do with it? how frequently do i use it? when do i put it? do i only apply it to the outside of the dread or do i squeeze it in also?
the only thing i dont like about crocheted dreads, is that they all look so stiff. whats the name of the band you were listening to? i havent ever used aloe, but as far as ive read u just rub it on the dread, not into it. its used to keep the frizzy hairs from going nuts, so i guess u could use it when ever u wanted.
The video is loading SOOOOO slow. But wow, those dreads came in fast. Crazy fast. The aloe plant is good for taming the frizzies. EDIT: Oh, it's crocheted. Nevermind.
band: remembering never song: con artist ........................... theyre not crocheted , theyre backcombed and twist & ripped and they are awfully full of frizzies
just to clarify, none of your hair is locked. it may become loose or look different over time. it will take a while for things to be totally in place, so keep that in mind since you are worrying about wispy ends on your first day. there really isn't a whole lot you can do with the ends. i used to play with them and try different things but i did more harm than good. when your hair gets straw like or small knots are coming off at the end then its time to give it a break. your hair will mature in time, just remember that before that obsession to maintain it gets a hold of you. for your aloe, just apply it lightly to your locks to calm down the frizzyness. you won't need much, and you wont need to saturate the lock with it either.
yep dont crochet untill like 2-3 months. They wont hold now, they'll look like crap if u crochet, they wont thicken and that square pattern will go away bit by bit. And dont do tip rubbing because it fucks up ur hair, and it doesen't work at all. U can crochet the tips if u want them blunt, but they wont hold long. When my dreads were like 5 months, my crocheted tips would still come out. At like 8 months or so they started holding on tight.
