Well it says what it is on the label? Are you all ready for Christmas (sure hope so cos if you aren't now you're out of luck). What are your Christmas Plans? I'm just about to go and mix up a wonderful Bailey's cheesecake for Christmas Day. We're having the in-laws over to celebrate. I'm making a nice turkey; sprouts; roast potatoes, carrots, and parsnips; homemade yorkshire puddings; peas and corn; and turkey gravy! For dessert will be choice of yule log or Bailey's cheesecake, and then there's Christmas cookies and chocolate chip cookies for snacking. On Boxing Day we are heading into London to visit a friend in Greenwich, and stay the night there. Apparently more baking to be done that day, as another friend wants to learn how to make cheesecake, and my friend is making a chocolate pie for me (my great-grandmother's recipe). It should be quite a nice holiday, and a lot more special than the past few years have felt. Seasons Greetings, everyone! :cheers2:
Sounds really lovely We had planned to go and see my family, then Scotts family, for 5 days in total, we hired a car and stuff...Now my mum and brother have measles and are really ill, my brother seems to be having some complications with his breathing and is being monitored (well, over the phone. No-one wants the damn measles for christmas) so now were at a bit of a loss We spent today in the forest of dean. I dont know why, just somehwere to go int he car and take our minds off christmas basically being ruined. It was nice Were heading off to the inlaws house tomorrow (which is 2 miles away from my mums) for a big roast dinner, presents and thngs. That may suck a bit thinking about them so close, but well make the most And thats it I guess *shrug* Anyway sure well all have a great time
Aww, Maxi. So sad to hear your family are ill at Christmas! However on the positive side, at least you have Scott's family to spend the holiday with. Would be even worse if you didn't have anyone to go and share the holidays with, I'd imagine. Especially as you were counting on having a nice Christmas. My cheesecake is baked (though has a crack down it) and I've just cut up all the veg for tomorrow and put it in water so there's less to do tomorrow. I was just telling Sonny that I hope to get up, get the turkey in, and then make us a yummy light breakfast before the in-laws descend. With a nice Irish Cream coffee methinks, first thing. Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow, and lots of love, peace, and happiness! :grouphug:
