About a month ago now my girlfriend began experiencing pain during sex. We had been sexually active for about 4 months prior to this, and never encountered any problems. When we have tried to have sex since, i have only gotten in probably less than an inch before she says it's too painful to continue.

She went to the doctors about it, however they said she would need to go to a clinic to get checked out properly. The doctor however did say it could be caused by menstruation, or lack of stimulation.

I should probably also add that just before she experienced these pains, she had these things around her vagina, not lumps or spot like, it looked a bit like skin had been pressed together, probably a centimeter or two in length and very thin. This could have just been caused by the underwear though.

Any suggestions or possible causes would be really appreciated. I know it's the internet but she's too shy to come on a site like this asking for help, so if you need anymore info i'll be sure to find out for you.

    Thanks in advance

it could be HPV or that you have a large penis. The skin issue could be warts. these are painless. Has she had a pap smear? A lot of women have this, but with a good diet it can be corrected in about a year or so.
