    Sex pistols were a lame punk band..Black Flag really started good punk rock

    i agree that the sex pistol are over-rated musically, although they did pave the way for the crossover from pub to punk, and helped to create the whole attitude in response to the london counter-culure of the mo.but what about the clash, stiff little fingers and the damned?

    I saw The Clash aged 10 in Camden was taken by my Uncle and was one of the most memorable experiences of my childhood. They really are the definitive sound of London in the late 70's
