hi ive had dreads for over a year now, and havent had a hair cutt for over four years. i love my dreads, and i love having dreads but im not happy with my mine, i wish i hadnt crocetted them so much. for a while after crocettin my dreads they looked propa good and neat, but now my dreads look so thin. i do know that dreads get a lot thinner as they get tighter but im worried there not gana thicken up agen cuz of broken hairs. ive got 8 really thin dreads 13 medium dreads 2 thick dreads lol if i put them into catagories like i have lol is that a healthy size to amount dread ratio im tempted to chop em and start agen but im keen on the idea incase my curent dreads are better than my future dreads. if that makes sense. i know its a bit long sorry thanks for reading :cheers2: eace:
no need for insecurity, I was just agreeing with you. Your comment wasn't stupid :sifone: or was it? I'm lost now >.<
It said I'm with stupid, meaning I'm stupid. Lol. I'm lost too, sometimes I say stupid things and I like it when people point it out but your agreeing with me? I just want to see the guys pictures becuase decriptions can be decieving, if i can see an image, even if it's blurry, then I can make an honest call on helping the OP.
I think by how you describe them, they sound alright. It'd be a waste to chop them and then start again. I know beceause I did it with my first set. I wish I'd have let them grow out. If you chop you may regret it and be faced with the months of generally crap looking hair
Even with pictures it's really up to you to decide if you should cut. If it's reassurance you want, or opinions about how your dreads look thus far... then pictures are needed. It's hard to determine based on numbers of dreads alone because everyone's hair type is different (e.g. 25 dreads on someone with really thin hair look different then on someone with thick hair).
thin locks are not bad, but if you want thicker ones put a bead on two or more small ones and they will form into a thicker lock eventually.
