Every year, Monitoring the Future HTML: http://monitoringthefuture.org/data/08data/pr08t1.pdf conducts a study monitoring illicit drug use in high schools. well, this year's results are in, and cocaine, ecstasy, amphetamine, cigarettes, and alcohol use have declined. but lsd and marijuana use has increased! i'm particularly "excited" somewhat over lsd's increase in popularity. still, only 4% of high school seniors in 2008 tried lsd (compared to 13.6% in the 1990s), but its recovering from the post-pickard-and-apperson drought. a few other rambling things i'd like to say about the results of the survey: only 19% of seniors smoked pot in the past 30 days. test scores are at an all-time low, and marijuana use seems to be relatively low; by the government's logic, that must mean that pot makes for good test scores, only 1.3% of seniors have ever tried heroin. in my high school, the nurse's office has 5 pamphlets about marijuana, cocaine, hallucinogens, steroids, and heroin. why have pamphlets for heroin, which is pretty unpopuar, and not have pamphlets for bigger concerns like oxy and speed?
It's there, hopefully there's more and more in the coming year(s). SWIM knows for a fact a lot went out Nov. 07 to April 08. It's still being made and made WELL. : )
i sure hope its still beaing made and beaing made good. when lsd comes to michigan its always on blotter and its never very strong alwas in extremely low doses at least thats how i feel start bringin the goods to michgan people
