Haha. When we drove out here to move, Winterpeg was the only place where we splurged and got a good hotel with underground secure parking.

 

Anyone in North Bay? apparently it's actually better, weather wise than here, which is usually the reverse lol

 

Im close to NB..we been getting lots of snow earlier than usual...and its freaking cold lately

We've been getting lots of snowstorms...but the south has definitely been getting it worse this year..from what I seen on the news it looks like everyones been having a harder than usual winter but S Ont seems to be getting more severe storms...more snow at once....we just been getting a little at a time..but it sure adds up

 

been working in the bush for the last 2 weeks ...temperatures stayed a steady -32 to -39 C .........sure keeps the mosquitos away

 

yeah Tuatara has it right, the cold keeps mosquitoes away, here in the peg we appreciate that. Best of all though it keeps a lot of 10-20 year old firebugs and car theives at home... the biggest dent in car theft rates happens when theives realise that even if they wanted to steal a car most won't start cause it's just too @$%@ cold...lol!

SSS...you sure got that right about cars not starting .........here we keep equipment running 24 hrs a day.......we shut them down for the christmas holiday and the first day in the back in the bush is probably going to be spent trying to get all that stuff started again...we parked everything around the 50KW generator so if we can at least start that we'll be able to plug everything in and hopefully get at least the engine blocks warmed up.......some ike the snowcats and the dozers are equiped with PROHEAT so they shouldn't be a problem .......in town here most vehicules are left running when people go do their chores bt theft doesn't seem to be a problem

 

shitty. I don't mind the cold most times(although, I've been to winnipeg, and can't say I enjoyed it lol), it's more the snow that annoys me. I don't mind a bit of snow, but huge shin high layers of snow every other day, sometimes more sucks.

It started to snow earlier, but it hasn't since then...still, I see white in my future haha

Gah. It's warmed up here, and is melting snow. Or it was when I left work this morning at 6 AM. Don't know what it's like now - kinda hard to judge just looking out the window. I hate warm weather in winter... melts everythting, turns to bloody slush, then when it freezes it's dangerous. If it's going to be winter, be winter! Bloody southern weather Bet summer will be pleasant

same, a lot of the snow melted because of the rain. It's very wet and windy out...

 

You'd swear were getting BC's winter weather, and their getting ours.
