If you had a choice to spend new year or christmas (only one of them) which would you choose?

I have to make a choice.. I basically wanna just smoke weed and skip the museums. I would also like to meet other weed smoking tourists. What is a better time. X'mas or new year?

problem is not traveling but the hotels. I can only afford to stay for
4 days. Of course, if someone can offer me cheap accommodation for 10 nights, then I won't miss either

New Years eve definatly, X-mas is more of a family thing whereas NYE is PARTY:party:TIME.

Never been there either time, it's just my personal opinion.

If you want a cheap room try the Abba

I can't give an opinion on Xmas but this New Years will be my 5th. You can expect the coffeeshops to stay open until a reasonable hour on NY's eve but buy your weed early to avoid the inevitable last minute rush. I'm guessing it's too late to be booking tickets for organised NY parties at the major venues but the streets are always lively if you're brave.

The rest of your stay should be business as normal.

Not sure how much accommodation prices will vary between the 2 periods but it won't be cheap either way.

Leaving it to last moment are we? ;)

Of course, that also because I love only 6 hours away by train.
