Anyway, so on the censoring topic - happened to me just a couple of hours ago. A movie called "Man in the house" or something similar, anyway so I walked into the room and the girls had the cardboard cutout and they started circling their boobs and vag and all so my mum told me to change the channel. Yeah, I get censored a lot but now with the help of youtube and iplayer there is nearly nothing I can't watch if I want to.

 

television sucks. our children are fucked. i may not have any. and then the chinese will take over.

If I have a daughter I'm keeping her away from media, pulling her out of school, and making her study martial arts and Shakespeare till she's 12. Then when she is 12 and still bigger than all the boys and knows kung fu, right into Jr. High.

i am so with you. except i will make my kids learn guitar and singing. we will camp a lot and they will be bards like dean and me. honestly, that is kind of what my parents did to me. i was pretty sheltered. high school superficiality tried to take hold of me, but i got the better of it. i don't know. i am very strong-willed, i disobeyed and tricked my parents a lot. but i am naturally logical and insightful, especially when left to my own devices. it's hard to say how much of who i am is nature and how much is nurture. but i will definitely be censoring my kids shit for quality. i may not even pay for cable.
