obviously not, though i didn't realize that was the problem! i tried the bronner's bar soap tea tree for my dreads, but it left an awful soap scum greasy feeling in my hair, so i stopped using it. i had no idea it could be because of the hard water. i think i must have hard water, 'cause it leaves all kinds of gross stuff in the shower and whatever. i don't really know the difference much though.
I think the liquid soap works best in hair. ...Does anyone know the best diluting amounts, because when I dilute it as much as they say then I just come out still scummy.
There is an adjustment period between using shampoo and soap--about a week or two, in my experience. Diluted vinegar rinses are extremely helpful as well for getting rid of the scum. I can't use soap on my hair without following it up with a vinegar rinse, actually (I have hardwater).
Am I the only one who doesn't dilute the stuff? I just use it right out of the bottle. I do notice the stuff burns my nipples sometimes.
I just use 1 drop and it covers 1/8th of my body. When I wash my dreads I just use a bunch and get my hair all soapy. 1 bottle lasts me months.
Where do you buy this bronners soap? I tried target cause it said they had it in stores, but I couldn't find it.
oh, hooray for necroposting my favorite is rose. i also like tea tree and lavender is nice too. or you can just combine them all.
