Hey, I'm in a college music appreciation class and we are doing "presentations" on a choosen composer( I'm covering Igor Stravinsky). I have to teach ten facts to the students and do it in a "fun and memorable way."

I've had some ideas, but so far, even I don't want to teach it let alone have to listen to it. I know to envolve the class, but I just can't be creative this week.

So I'm hoping y'all can give me some ideas or tips, much thanks

mix in rap beats with his music, and have it playing in the background! :D

haha, that could make that crap more enjoyable :D unless of course you enjoy that kinda music

I really doubt I helped you at all, oh well :D

Do it like a trivial pursuit game, or like "seven degrees of Igor" or something like that. You know an anagram of Igor Stravinsky is "givin sorry task" :D

Thanks for ideas! I'll add that during the presentation (which cannot exceed 10 minutes) no music can be played.

you arnt being tested on the people ability to retain the info are you? i doubt it but when teaching these are good thing to remember.1 introduce what you will cover 2. ask what your audience knows about the subject 3. make your points 4. recap on what you covered 5. ask if there are questions
other stuff: written facts, easy to read-we remember more of what we see than what we hear

    rhyming phrases work well

thats all io can think of right now. good luck.

    peace, bob

some people just arent exciting i guess, do you have to do this dude? maybe providing some info about him would help??? rhyming sounds good, a funny poem and some jokes maybe that mocks things about them, they will eat that right up probably.
