Are they synonymous? A friend and I just got into a fight about this. She said she wanted to live a "simple" life when she just means being able to live off her families wealth and never have to work. I told her that wasn't a simple life and what she meant was an "easy" life. I say they are two very different things. What say you?
a simple life is living a life based on basic needs and wants... while an easy life is a life based upon certain circumstances... ie: right place, right time, rich family member dies, leech off others
I have a very simple life, but its not easy. I take care of my van, myself, and my job. Its hard when you have to have to hide all the time.
I see it differently. To me a simple life is moving on and not asking questions. Working with what you have, not complaining and not trying to figure anything out, just getting into the routine and saying bye bye to anything that could lead to any insight etc. You know how ignorance is bliss? I see the easy life being ignorance. Kinda like the blue and the red pill. Fake fairytale, or fucked up reality, but a true reality, with chance for change. I wouldnt call my life simple, i ask alot of questions. Some think i try to rebel, i dont know, maybe i do. I just dont like the way shit is, and dont want to cope with, even if it would be ''the easy way''.
