Hmn, So this going to be like Vista only with no compatability issues? =/ I was expecting a service pack one or two... So to say, i was waiting for one before updating...
I was never a software person, more like give me the wire where does it go type of guy.... So what all this means?..
so far from what i've read from reviews.. XP is still faster/stabler than Win7 right now... it was sorta understood too that this Beta that was gonna be privately released for testing in January was possibly gonna be the final product.. seeing as its already compatible with everything basically... i tried installing the last pre-beta and i ended up with one hell of a mess.. that involved multiple reinstalls and 24hrs of frustration.. so i haven't been able to personally test it myself
10.1 compliant cards are backwards compatible with dx11. Who nows, there might be some dx11 apps on the build.
christ, graphics cards today can barley reap the benefits of dx10 let alone dx11. if there are dx11 apps im sure they will be benchmarkers or something similar to glxgears. orison: it means use linux.
The difference between dx9 and 10 is huge and its hardly been around long enough to be used to it fullest. dx9 dx10 Shit, im multi-booting right now just for dx10.. (still waiting on xp port) If dx10 to dx11 is as big of a step as 9-10. I'll be getting rid of XP altogether come win7.
no... Win7 is not using DX11... from my understanding though.. it'll be better run with DX10.. but still can run with DX9.0c compatible cards.. Win7 i think is just gonna be the "performance" OS.. running faster and smoother than Vista.. yet still lacking stability that XP has.. but ya must realize.. XP has had now close to 9 years of updates and patches... also.. Win7 is supposed to be the last OS to run 64x or 32bit processors.. come 2011 when MS releases its next OS.. it will be 64bit OS
