I have been going completaly natural for i would say 4 months now. Lots of little ultra thin baby dreads have formed on the top and back of my head, but my sides just looks all wavy like!
I know everyone says "It just takes time for you to be able to see changes" but nothing is happening :(!!! (Yelling a sad face)

I keep it under a beanie for alot of the time and wash with an organic shampoo which leaves my hair feeling really tacky.

I guess this is where patience is needed.. I just got to hang tough

    Sorry needed a ramble
    Any suggestions are muchly appreciated!

Happy New Year to you all aswell!

hehe you know your going to get it! PATIENCE :D gl lmaoroflolcopp... okay just messing.
Make sure you are squezing and rinsing your hair out when you clean them. Don't clean them more 2 times a week. Go on once a week if you can. Apply salt water spray an hour prior to showering ( I need to do this again). When you don't feel like looking at your barely dreaded mess, slap a tam on. DONT run fingers through them -atleast avoid it till more defined locks start popping. TIME - I know I made fun of you earlier, but believe it or not, there is so little you can do, and in the end: 500+ hours on a dreads 1 month old and 500+ hours spent on dreads 6 years old. Who do you think would have more "BA" dreads?

my hair was really silky around my temples for a while and it took the longest to lock. i can still tell which parts are the silky hair because they are still loose.

I have the same thing. All the places where my silky hair remain they are ultra thin locks. Almost all the long loose hair is starting to dread but it's take almost a year to do so.

Umm. I'm not sure about this but the beanie thing... Doesn't that kind of keep it from knotting up? since the beanie is tight and doesn't allow your hair to go loose?

A tam works the best, but wool beanies help keep things close together and slight rubbing of wool on dreads makes things go nice too!

as long as there is movement thins shouldd work. you just dont want the hair held so tigh like from something like a hair elastic.
