Getting drunk is too much damned work

I mean, Jay-zus P. Shitplanks...I don't have the desire nor the stomach for this kinda thing anymore.

Drinking to get drunk is stupid. It was alright when I was younger, but not now. I can drink a lot without getting drunk. It takes a lot of effort for me to get drunk, unless I am drinking really potent stuff. In that case I pace myself or limit how much I drink. With regular strength 5% ABV beer I can pretty much drink all night and not get drunk, even if I am drinking at a rather steady pace.

I'm lucky to get drunk twice a year. Any other time I have three or four drinks, get a headache and that's the end. I think I bought the near bear version of High Life today.

 

Drinking too much alcohol takes a big toll on your body. Plus, who wants to feel like shit the next day? I used to spend half the day in bed, which was just ridiculous.

 

You're one of those people that drink beer for it's fantastic flavor? The sour water taste?

 

I could see having that attitude if I only drank crappy mass-produced beer.

I'm a teacher, but today I did some landscaping.

I do what I can.

 

I'm a sound engineer, you guys know this.
I teach it and whenever I can I work as an engineer.
I'm building my own studio within the next year.

Now that sounds like a pretty sweet job.
