Well i dont think there can be such a thing as to relaxed haha. but yeah. I'll have a plan, first ill lay down to some breathing to get me calm and such. then ill do some of the few yoga moves i know to untense my body. then more breathing. then ill attempt to to some more yoga moves and just be like ahhhhh. and lay down and just chill and slip to sleep. anyone else every do that? any advice on ow to keep on going? also any simple beginner positions for mainly for upper body like arm and back?
Don't lay down...? Get more sleep at night? Smoke less herb? Use more will power? This seems like a silly question. Anyhow, the point of hatha yoga is only to allow the body to sit in prolonged meditation comfortably. It's a a tool to aid in meditation, nothing more.
hatha yoga? i only lay down cause its hard to keep my back straight sitting up. need to work on that. i meditate to chill out. thats theo nly way i can put it i guess. it makes my thougths not really go away just i feel detached from them. usually ill get wrapped up in them but when i meditate less are there and the ones that are kinda just float away. it relaxes me physically as well. i guess i should just not get wrapped up in the "pleasurable" effects and just concentrate on the meditation and my breathing instead of the relaxation. i guessi ill consider it a diversion from my meditation. i dont know. anyone care to explain "hatha yoga"?
It sounds like you are using it to just help you fall asleep quicker.. which is good. I prefer to meditate at night before bed as well and I find it can induce sleep quicker if Im too sleepy. I try and get to bed earlier if I'm planning on doing it. Mornings are no good for me at the moment unfortunately! I don't bother with yoga as I don't use the lotus position.. just on the edge of my bed feet flat on the ground.. I have considered it but I don't have the time at the moment.. maybe in the future! . Try combining your breathing with your mantra - I find it helps.
Hatha yoga is the practice of asana, what you call "yoga moves." Of course the terminology doesn't matter except that more people are familiar with the usual terms of asana. Do your hatha yoga practice, get your body so that it's relaxed, then sit down, and focus on your breathing (seems like that's your meditaiton practice, I think?) Stop lying down to meditate. Your body has been conditioned that that means sleep. Basically choose whether or not you want to meditate or sleep. It's ok to fall asleep while meditating, but if it occurs regularly you should take it as a sign that you're not getting enough sleep during the night, or whatever, etc.
yeah at times i do use it to induce sleep easier. but others i like t o use it to relax and just be in the moment you know? kinda like checking out of the thoughts and stress for a little calm time. yeah ive benn working on doing a sitting postion it has helped. if i try its not to hard. yeah man i hear you mornings is kind loud around my house, hard to concentrate ay?
nevermind it. i really think meditation is kinda bullshit now, along with yoga. spirituality is bullshit, people think they're having some connection with some shit, their inner self or something. waste of time imo. sorry for the questions yall. have fun with your meditation.
ah. my bad. shouldn't have said y oga and meditation is bullshit. thats offensive cause people do use it for good and all. but for me i dont think it for me, if i wanna relieve stress or just chill out and think ill just smoke some herb or have some beer or something like that. meditation is just to much effort for me.
