My cat likes to get jiggy with my blanket

My kitten is about 6 months old and we have this really soft throw blanket that we keep on the couch. Every time he walks up to it he starts purring loudly, sniffing it and kneading it for a long time, and just grooving his body on it. It looks really freaky, almost pornographic. He does this for about 2-3 minutes and then settles down and sleeps on it for hours. Sometimes when we watch him doing it we'll say things using this Barry White voice (pretending to be him), like.. "hey baby ever since I saw you lying there looking so soft I just wanted to come over here and feel you".

 

Nickname him Barry.

My mom got me this crazy soft blanket for Christmas that feels like an animal (it's not, though! Haha) and my kitten loves the hell out of it. She's always up there, kneading on it with her eyes closed and purring.

 

We'll add that to his nickname list. So far we have Satan (he's an all black cat), Nutcase, Batman, Freakboy, and now... Barry. His actual name is Bagheera.

I love that song! I played it for him, but he's oblivious... sleeping on his soft blankie right now.

My friend's wife has a cat named Skipper...big old black cat. I have a daypack/backpack that I bought in the early 90's and still use, lol.

Anyway, that cat would do the same thing to that bag. Almost as soon as I would sit the bag down, Skipper would almost make love to the damn thing.

They moved about five years ago and I went to visit them a few years later. I took the bag, because it's practically attached to me. As soon as Skipper saw it, he was rubbing himself all over it and purring like a whore.

Weird but true.

aww, it's much cuter when cats hump things than dogs... our cat doesn't do it though. kinda a good thing since we have enough humppers in the house
