Look here, it's true! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-wGMlSuX_c I think we'll all agree she is looking hotter than ever in this video, and not a bad song either. Got this free from iTunes yesterday. Thankyou iTunes.
I don't bother with the free itunes songs. If I want something I can just download it from youtube, being the pirate that I am.
This 12 days of Xmas thing they are having has been pretty disappointing, Lily Allen is about the only thing worth having. The single of the week is usually worth checking out though.
What do people have against iTunes. OK they are a bit over priced, and the DRM thing sucks. But what's the fucking deal, it's like having a record shop in your house, what's wrong with that? Maybe if there wasn't so many people freeloading music these days the price would go down. People who pay for their music are basing subsidising everyone else who freeloads it.
But if no one payed for their music then they could put the prices up as much as they wanted, no one would care. Only downside would be many artists wouldn't be able to make it on their salary.
I make up for the fact I have to pay to subsidise freeloaders by copying all my friends CD's in exchange for some of my DRM downloads.
No one has to pay to subside anyone. iTunes are just pwning you into thinking so, so that they could take your money. Most bands release their music onto the internet willingly, because it brings exposure. Half of the bands that are famous right now wouldn't be shit if it wasn't for us..."freeloaders".
Oh yeah sure, I'll form a band, spend loads and loads of time writing and recording an album, then give it away free on the internet, because I'm rich and can afford to devote my time to this whilst my servants cook my meals and fetch beers from the fridge.
No because releasing a few good songs gets more people to take them, more people to take notice of you and then more people are likely to know about you and buy your album/go to a concert. All the downloaded songs I have, I wouldn't buy if I couldn't get free.
That makes no sense, but whatever... you pay fucking Steve Jobs money for music that you could get for free if you really want to. You're the one who ends up getting ass-fucked in all of this.
Bands are well known for "leaking" stuff onto the internet, but it so they get some interest and end up selling more.
