Hi all, One of the other posts got me thinking about how misguided basing criminal sentencing on the number of plants really is. I understand that the law feels the need to quantify the scale of a grow to establish personal use vs commercial farming, etc. However, some guy can yield pounds off just a few plants or dozens depending on the the grow technique. So, the guy who has a dozen plants in Scrog will get busted more that the guy with 5 plants in trashcans. Anyway, if there is a need to quantify the scale of a grow, I think the plant method is very unreliable and just shows how uninformed and misguided drug control efforts are. If anything, sentencing by the wattage of an indoor grow would give a much more accurate gauge on the scale. Just my 2 cents.
no one should be sentenced for cultivation unless they are fucking up like the mexican cartels and destroying land with toxic waste.
^^^agreed, but if they are going to do it, they should do so logically. I was just pointing this out as another example of the lunacy of mj laws.
Think idea is to keep you guessing so ya never work up the bottle to grow the mother of all plantations coz your unsure what the law will do if ya get busted.
