Well how should I begin. I am actually part of we. We are pretty down to earth and easy going. We operate a flea market business and magnetic/beaded jewelry business. My business and life partner is 44 and an aspiring artist mainly in the medium of sculpture. I am 38 and am a computer repair technician and website designer. We both enjoy doing odd jobs and are not afraid of hard work. We have three dogs: a 9 yr old yellow lab named Buster, a 1 yr old Chihuahua named Chewy Chewbaka and an 11 month old Chihuahua named Speck-A-Do.

Basically we are coming here to try to find a new beginning. We are not running away from anything, but we know that there has to be a better place for us to be. Currently we live in Michigan and the outlook here is very bleak. Jobs are hard to come by and winters are getting too expensive. Rents are running at $500 or more a month for dumps, we are living in a basement that would not pass a building inspection. We have a 24 ft travel trailer and a van to pull it. We also have a large canopy tent to set up out of doors that we use with the flea market. We would like to find some place to live and set up our business. We are willing to consider multiple scenarios for this to happen (ie, direct rent/lease, partnership, barter, work-in-trade or any combination of these). We also have an almost complete wood working shop and basic carpentry skills.

We are hoping to find a place in Madrid, New Mexico my partner visited a friend that was a former resident there named Patrick Dean Palmer back in the 80's and he really liked it, but will consider any where in the United States that has a hippy/artist based community. We both really want to find a small community to become a part of, a group of people that we can make a family. We fit in easily into most groups of people and have no stereotypical tendency's that are socially unacceptable. We have a rather eclectic approach to religion and spirituality and are open minded to hearing what others believe in an effort to broaden our understanding of the world. If you know of anyone or anyplace that can would work out for us please drop us a line at sheenyboys@gmail.com We are hoping to head out around April. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you all the best that the Universe and the Fates can provide.

I didn't vote, your options are terrible. I worked for salvation army and I volunteer at a thrift store... I do my part.

That was not the point. The point of the poll was to see if people are reading my thread. How would you phrase the questions? I think that helping others in any form is good, but can you explain what your part is? I have never seen "a part" or a descpription of one other than those dictated by religion, ie the 10% tithe. Any way thanks for the response and the help you give the people that receive it appreciate it greatly I am sure.
