Im at day # 54 of veg'ing. thought I would share a few pictures. I posted about this on another forum and was told that as I had veg'ed for so long they could be about 5 feet tall when done. IDK if thats true but it would be great for my first grow. I dont know genders yet. I will be starting to flower this week. just need to light proof the room first.
Hey Jed it depends on the strain really as to how tall they will go do u know what they are I have a strain that needs a minimum of 42 days in veg and they only stretch a little when put into flower (12/12) I will check the height of them in the garden later and let u know what size they grow to this might give u an indication of what u can expect I've just had a look at ur babies and i'd recommend bigger pots before u put them into flower take care for now
Well at best i'd say likely to grow another 1/3 or just over when you set them to bloom. No little signs start to appear of what sex they might be?. If you repot you wont be able to bloom for another 2 weeks but BIG pot=big BUD its a fact of life lol.
CLone them tall ass things .. Triple yields easy.... these should have a sex mark on them at that height.. LOOK.
Well Jed checked my diary my plants were veg'd for 42 days put into flower on the 19th Nov and they are all 34-36" they are suppercropped and fimmed to produce multiple heads and for the chop after 56 days 9 to go whooppee What type of lights are they? Looks like a lot of sativa in there, them buggers will stretch 4shure x2 probably as orison319 says clone the mothers u should be able to sex now after 5th internode check them out lots of luck with them man they look healthy take care
They are under 3 26w CFL's and 2 17w 24" floro's. I took a good long look to see if i could figure out the gender. Armed with pictures off the Internet I think that 2 are females and I am still not sure about the 3rd.
With CFL's, i concur with the suggestion of cloning and once rooted apply some LST to get a lateral from diagonal growth aspect with the meristem, crimping below the node before the apical tips, after they convert, 5-10 days, as your nodes should be alternating by now or just starting to, this will turn meristem stretch into upward cola branching at the nodes down the meristem. Let the cola branching get 2-3" high and put into 12/12 regimen. This will allow you to get the CFL's kept in effective range. As it is, those plants will need a 250w HPS at least, better 400 for a 3' double harvest, harvest 1st couple of foot of ripe buds in the 2 1/2 foot max penetration of 400/430 conversion lamps, or a 200w enviro and supplemental CFL's such as you have then harvest the bottom about a week or two later. If what you are growing really hasn't got a hint of preflower or alternating nodes @54 daze - - then you've got an IBL Sativa which could take 90+ days to finish or something is very wrong. You might want to consider getting some Top44 or something faster finishing which will grow well using SCROG technique, grow 2 of them and clone 1 of the best of your existing strains to grow out slower, you'll get 3 Top44 harvests by the time the one finishes or KC Brains do good 7-8+ weekers around £10 for 10x regular, shop about and you'll find odd cheap deals on 5x feminised 7-8 weeker seeds. It really is a good idea to use what you have to make some clones to grow laterally if CFL's is what you want to persevere with. If you do that, after you've got viable clones rooted and dispose of the originals assuming you don't gift the plants or clone everything to gift whatever, lightly bruise and dry all the leaves out slowly to handrolling rolling tobacco sort of dry and enjoy it, don't throw it away, 54 plus day old Sativa leaves will get you nice and high, even grown under CFL's. Do yourself a favour though, get an HID as soon as you can, a 150w MH/HPS floodlight at least, 2 plants trained low, great bud as opposed to just decent. An immediate alternative is to chop it down by 2/3 and bend diagonal in repotting and tying lower branches down and straight into flower, girls will preflower with 14-21 days 12/12 whatever, if not it ain't Cannabis, or an escaped reject from a gene tech lab, lol'. I'm saying you can do that, not you should, i recommend the aforementioned strategy. What strain? Is it bagseed? Paxus.
