So apparently John Harvey Kellogg who, i'm guessing devolped Kelloggs started it because he was a devout vegetarian who would ask people "how can you eat anything that looks through eyes". Anyway, because of this vegetariansm and the lack of vego foods in the 1870s, he went on to develop a kind of peanut butter and many types of dried cereals (like 'Granula' ) as tasty vegetarian options. I just thought that was kind of cool
He was also a SDA.Have you heard about the experiment of leaving a packet of Kellogg's Fruit Loops in a cage of rats. After one week they ate the packet and left the fruit Loops.
funny. Obiously rats don't appreciate the muck that is fruit loops - but somehow I don't think they really had fruit loops in 1877 . Rices are the way to go though.
Has anyone seen the film of kellogs life ..it has Matthew broderick in , The bloke was a little strange.
i never really liked Kellogg's because I just found them to be arrogant.i don't even know why!!! hahah that comes from when i was really little. i still stick mainly to general mill's and post. mmmmmmm can't beat cinnamon toast crunch..
The founder of Kellogg's was a really freaky guy... he had a fetish with laxatives and such, that's why he created cereals...
lol, yeah I havn't seen the movie, but in the text book I was reading they put his cereal invention down to a desire not to have to eat meat, but I guess that could all be a lie for his laxie festish
