life is hard enough as it is so why do people have to be assholes

and btw I know some of you all are going to say "well you are an asshole too "

They can't give you all the validation you need, Ivy. Reassuring someone takes effort, and people have needs, troubles, and priorities of their own. They won't invest that effort into you until you've shown you got something to offer them.

because we are all self-interested fools. we put our own needs first, even when we try not to, or don't think we do.

but sometimes we realize that other people have pains, issues, and troubles, too. other people are sad, insecure, envious, lazy.... and then we can learn to relate to anyone.... because we're all human.

We are most mean to you ivy because when you aren't around this forum is a nice place full of interesting topics that are actually up for discussion, rather then full of self pitying posts that we are supposed to give a flying fuck about. Maybe if you posted something of substance then we would actually care about what you had to say.

The only assholes I can't cope with are ones who slam doors when I am sleeping, or drive deliberately noisy chav cars.

 

I have come to realise that when people land on you hard here in Random thoughts , its like a test , just to see how much you can take.

People are assholes because life's hard and they get frustrated, they don't understand other peoples behaviour and feel like taking it out on them or because they just don't care. Oh yeah, impatience causes people to be assholes as well. And annoyance. I'm afraid more than one of these reasons causes people to act like an asshole to you. I'm trying to be not an asshole here by the way. Maybe when people are trying to be real honest they seem like assholes as well.
