    Hey Guys :)
I think I can answer it already but just making sure, my dreadies have been suffering with the cold & wind alot recently, also I ripped open half a dread last night as I noticed a HUGE lump of wax left after all these months :(
So many on the right hand side of my head have split apart into scrawny dreads, even the fatter ones are really not maturing, the left handside of my head is a different story!
I was thinking washing my hair with some bronners this week instead of the deep clense to condition it abit, and getting some pure Aloe.
So many have really started to mature a bit more, but others still feel the same as when I got them back combed, I actually wish I had gone natural:eek:
I don't know where all these feelings of impatience have come from, I was fine till last week, stress related making me take out on my dreads.
GAH im such a twat sometimes.

No worries man I even doubt myself I can get dreadlocks in my life, but good idea about the aloe for the dryness, helps a lot, bronner dry the hair less then bicarb too so try it but I dont like bronner personally, I just like the bottle :D

i'm sure your hair will mature and even up if you give it a little guidance.

i haven't had the joy of cleansing my hair of wax, do you think the deep cleanse is not reaching the inside of the lock? you think there is anything you could add to give it some penetrating power?

I have tried Essential orange oil before, tbh its heat that melts it, I ripped it open as the wax trail seemed never ending, I then dipped the ripped damaged mess in boiling water, held it for about 20-30 seconds and squeeze in a paper towel, and repeated several times, seemed to work pretty well, but only works if I rip it open :(
I was such a tard to let my old dread lady wax them :(

I wonder if you can remove hair wax like you would candle wax. Has anyone tried? You know, the old brown paper and iron business. Might be worth a try if it hasn't been done before.

Mine is candle wax :( To be honest, I would'nt want to try, the boiling water method is a bit more full proof as you have the water to keep it liquid while you squeeze it out;)
    Worth I try though.

It is CANDLE wax in your hair? That is horrid. Definitely try the paper thing then! You know what I'm talking about with the brown wrapping paper/brown paper bag and iron at a low setting? If you get someone to help that might work better then hot water.

The iron melts the wax and it adheres to the brown paper like magic, it loves it. We did it on our carpet once. Maybe try it on one in the back where if it gets all melty it isn't noticeable?

You've had a sucky week, eh?
Have you've tried dishwasher soap and hot ass water to remove the leftover wax? Dishwasher soap has a strong ass degreaser that could fight that shit...while drying the shit out of your locks at the same time.

    Palmolive is good.
I'm remember a few years back I had a neighbor who styled his afro with petroleum jelly, which is kinda like wax, used dishwasher soap to remove it from his hair before he slept.
Lol, in the urbz we are ghetto like that.

Lol, I'll steal my friend's camera to post pics of my current hair.
I actually haven't brushed my hair in 4 days and I've shampood it with this aloe shampoo with no conditioner.
Natural dreadies are forming, but sadly I got to murder them by Friday :[

I'm failing bad with the picture thing, my sidekick has no flash, my friend lost her camera CD thingy so I can't upload her camera picture to my laptop, and my camera is out of double A batteries.
