I had a collection of about 13 tylenol 3's from back in the summertime. a tylenol 3 should include 30mg of codeine, so i decided to start with 3 pills mashed to a powder, dissolved and drank (no extraction). after 2 hours with no obvious effects i swallowed 3 more pills. (therefore a dose of [presumably] 180mg). even at a dose of 6 pills, no effects were felt, and no changes were mnoticed in the pupils. why is this? these are pills i recieved after a relatively painful surgery, and they appeared to be quite effective in painkilling at the time. they were stored in a standard pill bottle, so they did not experience any major changes iun heat/humidity/pressure/etc...
yeah codiene's done that 2 me before. u have a tollerence to opiates? or maybe ur one of the 5% of people who arent effected by codeine because u dont have the right enzyme in ur liver i dunno
codeine has now only worked with me from taking 2 after eating 2 tramadols... codeine packs quite the itch..
i never used opiates in the past besides under prescription. i decided that a codiene trial may be a neat way to start. they were taken on a relatively empty stomach, and i neither drank nor ate anything that would logically present conflict. during my medical use of the pills, they were VERY effective painkillers. I do not understand why the effects would not have been shown...
egh, codeine never worked for me either. i did 10 tylenol 3's before i said fuck it and just gave the rest away.
Me too - As far as I'm concerned they are worthless for a high. I took 8 once and just got stomach cramps.

well, i tried 5 T3s tonight and experienced no effects beyond helping to get over the sniffles i had all day. (yay for medicine) as i said before, these pills were very effective in relieving my pain after a groin surgury. (without pills, the pain was about 3X as strong)

dont worry, i got that. I personally do not think i would be able to allow myself to become a constant user. there are some substances that have no practical use (besides pain relief) that only do bad for you. this was essentially a use for the leftover T3s that i had as a way to at least understand a good opiate high. pity it didnt work, id have considered myself very comfortable when taking them during my recovery (usually sitting on the couch watching tv for hours kills me with boredom-on t3 i was able to do it without to much "twitchiness"). however, it is hard to say how much of this was just from my body's reaction to the pain?
I think there is a qualitative difference between syrup and t3s. The only time Ive had sizzurp, I drank half a bottle, about 200 mgs of codeine, and got a nice relaxed high. Later on, I got 12 t3s for a sore throat, and all of them at once didnt do shit. I think the binders in the pills fuck up absorbtion, becasue t3s are for minor pain relief, and syrup is for cough suppression. Thats why syrup is regarded as so good, and it is quite good. Its still no oxy, but better than nothing.
