As azucena stated, that usually has more to do with physical attractiveness. In all reality you rarely see those people starting threads that go 100+ or 200+ posts. I have seen somebody get 3x the attention to ONE thread they created that had content than other people got on 10 threads with whiny self-centered topics.
I couldn't agree more. There are a lot of people here that talk about nothing other than themselves and their boring, meaningless lives. Those people should be shot so that the rest of us could carry on a conversation.
bullets are expensive, they should be fed to africans thus making a contribution to the world, which they suddenly realize doesn't revolve around them.
98% of my posts are uninteresting. however, i do get what I need out of them. And some of you don't have horrible ideas. So, I'm content.
I would rather people talk about their own lives than talk about literature, music and books which they did not create or abstract philosophical problems that distract our attention from the little things that make up our day to day existence. The key is just not to talk about yourself too much, and not to whine about insignificant problems.
are you actually a woman? I couldn't think of anything I'd rather not read than about the personal lives of johnny boring.
The best thread I ever made was about peeing on my dog. This actually happened. It was fun, we talked about how I peed on my dog for a long time. I am yet to see a movie or read a book about peeing on a dog. I talked about myself, and it was interesting. I totally agree with the fact that some people talk about themselves too much, and wonder why they don't get enough attention. These people are lame At the same time, to everyone else, who cares? You don't have to listen to them. Life is not a dictatorship. Who. Fucking. Cares? That was not directed at you specifically wakey, but the thread in general.
I somewhat agree with Face. Sometimes hearing about people's lives is alright, as long as its an amusing anecdote or one that actually relates to something. But yet again, most of the people that post about themselves over and over again on these forums are extremely dull wastes of oxygen.
