Ok, so today I go to the grocery store to do my usual- buy some cigarettes and a few other things, and so I'm walking into the store, and I encountered something I thought I would never encounter in 100 years, a nudist, yes a real life nudist in the store. This guy was butt ass naked in the store, and for some reason, nobody seemed to do anything about it for like 10 minutes, and then finally after about 10-15 minutes, like the managers of the store were finally able to get him out of the store, but wow, just wow, I hope I never see one of these freaks again.

I think you've got to be a real piece of shit to think of a nudist as a freak. You're from texas, the weather is relatively warm there, there is no need for clothing. Granted, I don't want the guy standing in front of the produce for a prolonged period of time while I'm pickin up my green peppers, but damn. Are you scarred for life? you've seen a dick before, including your own? alright, damn. get over it, right? Just another human being, he's not there for you to stare at his genitals.

I dont see the big deal. You have to be either really fucked up or very self concious to be bothered by your naked body, but i dont see how someone elses should bother you at all. You can just not look at it.

I think its society's fault. Most likely people think if they see another mans penis, theyre gay, and if they see another womans breasts, theyre going to hell for cheating on theyre wife.

    Fucking ridiculous and pathetic imo.

well, i'm in tex-ass too. (san antonio, aka shit city.) the same thing happen to me a couple of years back. i was at a chinese restaurant next to the IH-10 highway. on the edge of the highway was some guy standing there hichiking and he was buck naked too.
no one stop to give him a ride. (i wonder why?) about ten minuets later the police show up and took him away.
that guy was not a naturalist/nudist. most likely he was just a little funny in the head, or tripping on something. i saw a good deal of that type of thing, when i worked in an er, and almost always, they were wacked in the head or tripping.

Why would someone have to be funny in the head or need taking away just because they werent wearing clothes?
    You people have problems. Seriously
The fact that people can be arrested just for optingnot to wear clothing...THATS the weird thing
Unfortunately the worlds so fucked up by these kinds of twisted morals, religious trash and superstitions now that people are probably scared of them being sex offenders or something. We cant be naked now its seen like that
    Fucked up place, this world

Why? Why shouldnt children see naked people?
You make it sound like this person was doing something sexual. By the sounds of it he wasnt, he was doing some shopping
Why should children be taught that a body without clothing is either hillarious, sexual, or something to be ashamed of? Because its not any of those things, is it? Its sexual when people are having sex. Not when theyre buying fruit and veg

My my, what judgmental people here. We are all born naked. Clothing is functional. It is unfortunate that society makes it mandatory. It shows how screwed up social view of these things are.

fingermouse i think you did not understand my point.
my point is this MAINSTREAM CLUTURE has made it taboo to walk around in public without clothing.
ALTERNATIVE CLUTURE does not really give a shit one way or the other what people do, so long as you don't interfere with what others do.
if you pull that behavior in mainstream culture, then it is "ABNORMAL" OR "DEVIATE." mainstream culture is quite authortarian and unfree, and you pay the price for braking it's taboos.
if you pull that behavior in alternative cluture, just about everyone does not give a shit one way or the other about it.

i have as little to do, with mainstream culture as i can because, i hate being boxed in by it's unfree ways. i hangout in alternative culture as much as i can because, i love having the freedom to 'do my own thing.' get what i am saying?

now, let me see if i'm right, that both of us (and, most people on this thread) agree on the same thing, and that is... FUCK THE MAINSTREAM!

mundaneness is for twits. yes, making a big deal out of someone being naked is immature. an immaturity that pervades mainstream culture, which is thus itself, immature.

but what makes a culture mainstream? is it the fiate accompli of dominance? how dominate? believe it or not, the planet is NOT culturally homogeneous. not all of it. not yet. hopefully never. when i was younger it was less so. hopefully someday it will be again.

Nudism is not a bad thing... I myself enjoy being naked, however out of respect for my roommates and dormmates, I only do so alone. It is a shame that the world "requires" clothing for people to be "normal" now. My own opinion, clothes really need only be worn if the temperature calls for it or for saftey reasons such as certain construction jobs need heavy clothing to protect the skin. But if there are laws prohibiting public nudity, they should be adhered to, as you do live there and under their law :/ a bother, yes, but it is sort of called for...

i agree. i call myself a "nudist" and i think nudity is a wonderful, positive thing, not something we should be ashamed of or uncomfortable with.

but im well aware most of the world doesnt share my views and while i wish they did, its not gonna happen any time soon.

so my opinion is that while the naked guy in the store probably didnt mean any harm, he was probably bound to get in trouble so the sensible thing would have been to put some pants on rather than risk getting arrested.

Some tribal societies go completely bear, even old women. We look at every single animal naked, except when it comes to humans its a "no-no"? Maybe you should take an honest look at yourself and ask why you bear those opinions.

in spain there is one guy who is around naked 24/7 , it seems that spanish courts have decided that it's his right to decide whether wearing clothes or not. he even took an interview in a public park, the dude had a bicycle and just wore a small backpack, nothing else. People wasn't gawking at him all the time or calling the police. Spain really kicks ass. but i admit that if you spot someone naked in a grocery _most times_ it is not someone hip who just wants to be free and bash conformism but rather a mental case or someone really high on stuff, let's face it. one of the reasons is that while in a few civil places like Spain this is possible, elsewhere going nude means lots of troubles every single day. come on.

People dont want to see a naked body because they dont want to see if they are attracted to it.

These two uncomfortable people are probally guys, living in a fucked up society of hyper judgemental people, probally parents.

Is gay socially powerful or socially weak.

Since it is weak and since there is a large misconception that people can become homosexual, a naked body becomes a threat to ones happiness.

Damn Am I ever fucking smart.

HAHA - now that I got your attention, read my damn post.

I agree... it's just not socially acceptable. It's naive to think that there's absolutely nothing wrong with walking in public places butt naked. Yeah, we were born naked, blah blah blah, but come on! Have some common sense.

It's clearly a statement that the person was trying to make.. he didn't wake up that morning to a hot sun and decided "You know what, it's way too hot for clothes.. screw it, I'll leave the house naked"...

    WOW.

ALL I heard from your life clegg is - "CMON! CMON! Believe its true, because of what you feel.

Feelings are highly deceptive. In fact the majority of what anyone feels was not chosen by them. Therefore, choosing that your feelings are you and sensible, is basically choosing from your past life experiences.

I find less and less of a problem with this type of stuff, when I remember over and over that we're all gonna die one day and GOD, he does not exist.

This takes away a lot of my feelings that would reject this type of behavior.
