I know there has been thousands of 'What shampoo' threads today, but I need to give my dreadies a good wash and Dr Bronners is making them feel really sticky and waxy due the shit water around here :(
I heard about this whole vinegar thing going on, any more info on that?
I do the deep clense every other week but it would be nice for something to use for once!
I have a knottyboy patouchli(sp?) bar from the first week I had my dreads, didnt even use it! Just use it as an air freshner for my room! This any good?
    Thanks
    Alex

Shit water? As in tap water?
Try buying a gallon of spring water to risnse out your hair instead of tap water.
Lol, you should probably try out the KB bar.

Find a clean ocean/lake and skinny dip in it.
    That should cure everything.

Apparently KB soaps are safe to rinse out in the ocean too.

    Oh btw!
    Just read this:
"Diluted apple cider vinegar can be used to deep clean dreadlocks, removing residue and even beeswax. One method involves spraying a mixture of one part vinegar to four parts water onto the hair, letting it soak in, rinsing with water, and repeating this process as many times as necessary."
Deffo gonna give this a go ;)

Avalon Organics and Neutrogena Anti-Residue are quite good with crappy water.

I also use lush shampoo bars! Brilliant! They have everything from sea salt bars, to flower oil bars to more charcoaly bars, something to suit every problem.

I know, their great right? It's fun choosing different ones each time. Next I think I'll use the karma bar, as I adore the karma scent! I'm on cinnamon atm, it's pink and yummy. Feels so good on my scalp :) happy hair

I'm on the lush karma bars, smells great and get your dreads clean but I'm lucky if I get 10 washes out of one, not the 40 they will tell you in the shop.

I've heard lush bars still contain SLS and other such stuff, so have never bothered with them
