I know there has been thousands of 'What shampoo' threads today, but I need to give my dreadies a good wash and Dr Bronners is making them feel really sticky and waxy due the shit water around here I heard about this whole vinegar thing going on, any more info on that? I do the deep clense every other week but it would be nice for something to use for once! I have a knottyboy patouchli(sp?) bar from the first week I had my dreads, didnt even use it! Just use it as an air freshner for my room! This any good? Thanks Alex
Shit water? As in tap water? Try buying a gallon of spring water to risnse out your hair instead of tap water. Lol, you should probably try out the KB bar.
The Birmingham confederacy has annexed all of wales decent water and we will not give it up without a fight.
Oh btw! Just read this: "Diluted apple cider vinegar can be used to deep clean dreadlocks, removing residue and even beeswax. One method involves spraying a mixture of one part vinegar to four parts water onto the hair, letting it soak in, rinsing with water, and repeating this process as many times as necessary." Deffo gonna give this a go
Hey dude did u do it yet? let us know how it goes. ive done vinegar rinses before, the smell lingered a bit for me, not cool. lingerrrrr
I use lush shampoo bars, my scalp feels great after and my hair is clean without any residue-yey! they have lots of different ones too and they all smell great
I also use lush shampoo bars! Brilliant! They have everything from sea salt bars, to flower oil bars to more charcoaly bars, something to suit every problem.
too bloody right. as for the Kboy patchouli.. whatever.. it says on the kboy site not to use it on dreads under a year old.. i ordered some and had to exchange it =]
I know, their great right? It's fun choosing different ones each time. Next I think I'll use the karma bar, as I adore the karma scent! I'm on cinnamon atm, it's pink and yummy. Feels so good on my scalp happy hair
i like lush too! :cheers2: atm, im trying soak n float, jumping juniper and a green one that i cant remember the name of..but it has tea tree in soak and float is the best one ive tried! well good for dandruff. id like to try the sea salt one next.
I'm on the lush karma bars, smells great and get your dreads clean but I'm lucky if I get 10 washes out of one, not the 40 they will tell you in the shop.
