Their music is a highly psychedelic mixture of thumping basslines, sound effects and danceable keyboard and guitar work, with a sound influenced by Steve Hillage and Gong. Many of the Ozrics' songs are in unusual time signatures and/or unusual Eastern-influenced modes. Furthermore, they often feature complex arrangements which change time signature, key signature and tempo frequently in the course of a track. In places, this is deliberately confusing; however, there are also moments of straightforward funk-influenced grooves.

These features are mixed with electronic elements, including densely layered psytrance- and techno-influenced arpeggiated synthesisers, pads, synth basslines, effects and programmed drumbeats. They also have a strong influence from dub and ambient music, with many quiet relaxed tracks that balance the frenetic, intense material.

The Ozrics also use a wide range of instruments in their performances. Electric and acoustic guitars, flutes, recorders, xylophones and even sounds of digitally tweaked human voices appear throughout. - Wiki

no, im just sharing my love of music so we can all enjoy it, im interested in what people have to say about what they hear/experience. i also find this to be a nice way for new comers to the genre to really get into it, check out the site/store and preview the album with my help. i find this place to be really dead sometimes... each of these last posts took me a good 30min each to fill up, lookin for the cover art, some infos and links, and then laying it all out in the post. i hope u dont think of my posts as being just a counter, i could care less, am i gonna win something?... i will be posting more music in the future, i already got another album i'd like people to hear with me.

    well, cya around. :)

Yes, they were brilliant, but there's been so many changes in line-up and it shows with each album; sadly they don't seem to be expanding on what they were. The album 'Waterfall Cities' did it for me; although I've been listening to a fair bit of 'Pyramidion' as of late.
I have the entire discography on my hard drive, sat alongside the Eat Static (Merv and Joie's extremely diverse electro-psychedelic project) discography and projects by other members of the band.. 'Noden Ictus' and 'Moksha'. I was raised on a healthy diet of the Ozrics, having a father who saw them live plenty of times back then.
I was always addicted to 'Kick Muck' and 'White Rhino Tea'. The new stuff is simply no match for the older stuff.
Good to see more fans of psychedelic music/psytrance/psybreaks around here though!!!
