I think I might have to rely on the pull out method and if it comes down to it, abortion.

Condoms always dry me out to the point of not even being able to have intercourse, then spermicide gives me yeast infections.
I have a blood disorder that causes me not be be on the pill, the shot and the ring. (I forget all the details, but I had blood tests done and I cant be on those) The idea of an IUD scares the shit out of me....

    Am I missing anything?

You have options! I would highly suggest you check out the book "taking charge of your fertility" by toni weschler. Become proficient in fertility awareness; FAM is NOT (!!) the pull out method. You will have protection equavilent to birth control pills if done correctly, yet have no hormones or adjustments to your body. You simply know when you will ovulate by charting. It is good practice even if you are not using it as birth control; all women should be in charge of their fertility this way.

Furthermore, you can be fitted for a diaphram or a cervical cup and use natural spermicides such as aloe and lemon juice. Sperm are not hard to immobilize. There are yahoo groups for this option. Combining a diaphram with fertility charting and you are highly protected.

^ That was harsh but I agree.
Abortion ranges from $400-800 and you have to rest for about 3 days after getting it done. I think I rather dry my vagina out and use a condom instead of putting myself through that.

While I support any woman's right to chose, I HATE abortion. And using it as birth control is dangerous to your physical and mental health. The pull out method does not work. There is enough sperm in the pre-cum to impregnate you. I agree with the suggestions to use waterbased lubes with the condoms. See your gyno and get some suggestions from them. There are many options available to you.

if abortion is your way of going i say do what you have to do. but keep in mind their are PLENTY of substitutions such as plan b ((the morning after pill)) you take it within the first i believe 72 hrs after sex and thats that. they sell it over the counter at almost any drugstore. and its not life abortion cuz it kills the sperm before theirs a heartbeat. its the same as the pill or a condom.

Plan B actually stops the egg and the sperm from even coming together. Not even a thought of a heart beat. It can be quite expensive and before the age of 17 you need an Rx. But it is much less trouble than an abortion or baby. I see you are 18, so you can just go and pick it up.

Plan B cost 30 bucks (says on the officail site).
That shouldn't be considered expensive. Espically compared to abortion. But if someone has a blood disorder that doesn't allow them to take Birth Control pill than I'm sure they shouldn't be taking Plan B.

Maybe it's gone down. I work in a pharmacy and the last time I sold it, it was about $75. If the blood condition is a problem for prolonged use, than Plan B should not be a problem, since it's not a regular use medication.

If hormonal birth control is contra-indicated, Plan B is probably not a good idea.

A Cervical Cap or Diaphram can be used without the spermicidal gel. (probably use lube for insertion and/or a seal)

Natural methods are better than pulling out. His brain may think its a good idea, but every other part of his body votes with evolution and doesn't want to pull out. (Plus pre-cum issues)

Promising to pull out is how teenage boys get laid for the first time, its not a birth control method.

Talk to your health care provider about your options. The doc that ran the blood tests would be a good place to start.
