I'm thinking of buying an old VW van and I think that the paint would also be very expensive... I'm thinking of a psychadelic acid-trip kind of thing with a couple big peace signs. Any ideas how much this would cost? Also, does anyone have any of their vans that I could see, to kind of give me some ideas?

Check with several automotive paint suppliers and ask about leftovers and mistakes. Otherwise, quality automotive paint is very expensive these days. You could also check with some paint and body shops for leftovers. Larger and newer shops will have computerized mixers which don't have leftovers.

Just spray bomb it, and make it original and cheap?
